You’ve done your research. You’ve found a courtesan you’re excited to meet. You’ve made your appointment at Sheri’s Ranch.
Now what?
If you’re visiting Sheri’s Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada, for the first time, you might be wondering exactly what happens when you arrive.
Where do you park? Where do you go? How do you meet your courtesan? When do you discuss prices? What’s involved in the health check? And how does everything become an official booking?
These are some of the most common questions people have before visiting a legal Nevada brothel.
As a licensed courtesan at Sheri’s Ranch, I want to take some of the mystery out of the process.
Here’s a step-by-step look at what to expect when you arrive at Sheri’s Ranch for an appointment, from walking through the door to booking your experience.
Step 1: Arriving at Sheri’s Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada
Sheri’s Ranch is located at 10551 Homestead Road in Pahrump, Nevada, approximately 60 miles from Las Vegas.
Despite its proximity to Sin City, Sheri’s Ranch operates in a completely different legal environment.
Prostitution is illegal in Las Vegas and throughout Clark County, but licensed brothels are permitted in Nye County, where Sheri’s Ranch is located.
When you arrive on the property, you’ll find a resort-style establishment rather than the stereotypical brothel setting you may have imagined.
Sheri’s Ranch features a bar and restaurant, hotel accommodations, specialty rooms, and other amenities.
If you’ve scheduled an appointment with a particular courtesan, you’ll want to follow the arrival instructions provided by the Ranch or your courtesan.
My advice? Don’t overthink this part.
You’re not expected to know your way around the property on your first visit.
The staff is accustomed to welcoming newcomers and can help direct you.

Step 2: Checking In for Your Sheri’s Ranch Appointment
Once you enter Sheri’s Ranch, you’ll be greeted by staff.
If you’ve made an appointment, simply let the hostess know which courtesan you’re there to see.
You’ll need to meet the Ranch’s age and identification requirements, so bring a valid government-issued photo ID.
From there, the staff can help coordinate your introduction.
One thing I always remind prospective visitors is that making an appointment doesn’t mean you’ve already committed to purchasing an experience. An appointment is an opportunity to meet a particular courtesan and determine whether the two of you would like to move forward.
There’s still a conversation to be had. And that’s an important part of the process.
Step 3: Meeting Your Courtesan at Sheri’s Ranch
This is where things start getting exciting!
If you’ve scheduled an appointment with a particular lady, she’ll meet you according to the arrangements made for your visit.
For many people, this is their first opportunity to meet someone they’ve previously only seen in photographs or communicated with online.
And yes, it’s completely normal to feel a little nervous.
I always encourage people to remember that we’re human beings, too. We understand that walking into an unfamiliar environment and meeting someone for a potentially intimate experience can feel intimidating.
You don’t need a rehearsed introduction.
You don’t need to pretend you’re an experienced brothel visitor.
And you certainly don’t need to have every detail figured out before you arrive.
Just be yourself.
The purpose of this initial meeting is to begin establishing a connection and determine whether you’re both comfortable moving forward.
What If You Haven’t Chosen a Courtesan Before Arriving?
Although this article focuses on scheduled appointments, you don’t necessarily need a reservation to visit Sheri’s Ranch. Walk-ins are welcome.
Visitors can meet available courtesans in the bar or request a lineup, where the available ladies introduce themselves.
However, if there’s a particular courtesan you’re interested in meeting, I strongly recommend making arrangements beforehand. That way, you can coordinate schedules and discuss any special considerations before traveling to Pahrump.
Step 4: The Private Negotiation at Sheri’s Ranch
Here’s where many first-time visitors have the most questions.
How does negotiation work at Sheri’s Ranch?
After meeting your courtesan, the two of you will have an opportunity to discuss your potential experience privately. This conversation takes place in the courtesan’s room. It’s an opportunity to discuss what you’re interested in, how much time you’d like to spend together, your expectations, and any boundaries either person may have.
And yes, this is also where pricing comes into the conversation.
How Much Does an Appointment at Sheri’s Ranch Cost?
Unlike a restaurant or hotel, Sheri’s Ranch doesn’t have one universal price list covering every courtesan and every experience.
Each courtesan operates as an independent contractor and establishes her own rates. The cost depends on factors such as the amount of time, the particular experience being discussed, and the individual courtesan.
Your appointment reservation does not establish the final price of your experience.
That’s determined during your private negotiation.
I’ve written an entire article explaining this process in more detail.
Read my guide: Sheri’s Ranch Prices & Rates: What Does a Visit Cost?
What If We Can’t Agree on a Price or Experience?
Then you don’t move forward. It’s that simple.
Negotiation is about finding an arrangement that works for both people. If you and your courtesan aren’t able to reach an agreement, you’re under no obligation to book an experience.
Likewise, courtesans have the right to establish their own boundaries and decline arrangements that aren’t right for them.
The goal is mutual agreement, not pressure.
Step 5: What Is the Health Check at Sheri’s Ranch?
This is another part of the process that sometimes surprises first-time visitors.
Before an intimate experience can proceed, a health check is part of the Ranch’s safety procedures.
This is a brief visual screening intended to identify visible signs of certain sexually transmitted infections or other concerns.
It’s important to understand that the screening is not a comprehensive medical examination and cannot detect every STI.
Licensed Nevada brothels also operate under health regulations that include required testing for courtesans and condom use.
These protocols are intended to reduce health risks for everyone involved.
Should You Be Nervous About the Health Check?
Not at all.
It’s a routine part of the process, and your courtesan can explain what to expect.
You don’t need to feel embarrassed or singled out. The health check isn’t a reflection of you personally. It’s simply part of the safety procedures associated with visiting a licensed Nevada brothel.
If you have questions about the process, ask your courtesan.
Communication is always encouraged.
Step 6: Booking and Paying for Your Sheri’s Ranch Party
Once you’ve agreed on the experience and completed the required preliminary steps, it’s time to finalize your booking.
At Sheri’s Ranch, an intimate appointment is commonly referred to as a party.
Don’t let the terminology confuse you. A party simply refers to the experience you’ve arranged with your courtesan.
After the details have been agreed upon, payment is handled through the Ranch’s established procedures.
What Forms of Payment Does Sheri’s Ranch Accept?
Accepted payment methods include major credit cards, debit cards, and cash.
ATMs are also available on the property.
The Ranch currently states that it does not accept Apple Pay, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, Google Pay, or cryptocurrency.
If you’re planning a visit, I recommend checking the current payment policies beforehand.
Once everything is finalized, you can move forward with your scheduled experience.
Step 7: Relax and Enjoy Your Experience
By this point, you’ve completed the logistical portion of your visit.
You’ve arrived, met your courtesan, discussed interests and expectations, and you’ve agreed upon the details. You’ve also completed your required health screening and completed your booking with the Sheri’s Ranch office.
Now it’s time to enjoy the experience you’ve planned together.
One of the things I love about working as a legal courtesan is that every guest is different. Some people are naturally outgoing. Others are shy. Some have very specific interests. Others simply want companionship, conversation, and a chance to connect.
There’s no single correct way to enjoy your time with a courtesan.
What matters is that the experience is mutually agreed upon, respectful, and comfortable for everyone involved.
Should You Make an Appointment Before Visiting Sheri’s Ranch?
Although walk-ins are welcome, I’m a big believer in choosing a courtesan before your visit. Especially if you’re new to the legal brothel experience.
Researching the women who work at Sheri’s Ranch gives you the opportunity to find someone whose personality, specialties, and communication style appeal to you. It also allows you to coordinate your visit rather than simply hoping someone you’re interested in will be available.
And if you have special considerations, such as mobility limitations, hearing impairments, or language barriers, contacting a courtesan beforehand can be particularly helpful.
I’ve written about why advance communication is so important for guests with accessibility concerns.
